grub-legacy-ec2 software package provides Handles update-grub for ec2 instances, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grub-legacy-ec2
grub-legacy-ec2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grub-legacy-ec2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grub-legacy-ec2 *
You will get with grub-legacy-ec2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
